About
Generous Greens & Flower Co.
Our Beginnings...
Generous Greens & Flower Co. was born out of the Coronavirus Pandemic. The fragility of our supply chains was quite obvious. We all noticed every day items out of stock during the onset. From toilet paper, to Capri Suns, all were unavailable during our shopping trips to the grocery stores. I had a desire to ensure all my friends and family never would go hungry. I had a desire to make sure all my friends and family had access to fresh vegetables. I did my research on how to become an efficient farmer.
My first start with farming was this Summer of 2021. I learned a lot and discovered it was much easier than I anticipated. I have a passion for farming so that helps tremendously. Its what gets me out of bed in the morning and into the blazing hot sun, to get done what needs to get done. Lots of great reviews from customers and friends so far so that alone will keep me going.
Our farm adopted all "Organic" practices and we don't spray toxic chemicals or apply petroleum fertilizers. All natural the way we do things around here. We are a No - Till, No - Tractor farm which means we do not disturb the ground. When I harvest vegetables, I leave the roots in place to start the decaying process. I like to keep all the micro organisms happy with food to eat, so they can keep the soil healthy. Overtime weed pressure will become less and less, which increases efficiency of our farm.
Let our vegetables & flowers speak for themselves. The green healthy plants that grow out of the soil shows were onto something. We are also all about sustainability. Our chickens eat the discarded produce, and the rest goes into the compost pile. I save our seeds, to ensure we have vegetables that are adapted for growing here in New Jersey. Plants change overtime and become better suited for their environment. They have an intelligent design from our creator.
Come stop by for a tour! It is important you know where your food comes from. I look forward to meeting you.

The Farmer.
Mark Higginbotham
My name is Mark Higginbotham and Generous Greens & Flower Co. is my dream. As soon as I found out you could have a farm that was esthetically pleasing to the eye and grow healthy vegetables. I decided that was the life I wanted to live. I am a born again Christian and faith is a very important part of my life, and I believe this is what Jesus wants me to do. I have him as my tail wind, which is why it seems like I accomplished a lot for one person. I am not just one person, I have the creator of the universe on my side, which is how I am able to work 80-100 hours a week and not get tired. I have spent the last 13 years working in the grocery business, I'm sure you heard the name. "Shoprite". I'm currently an Non Perishable Assistant Store Manager at the store in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. I have a passion for food. For the past decade, I always knew that there would be a "trying" time and food would be the one thing people would always need. I always try to look forward to the future and figure out where were headed and prepare for that outcome. I can see a future where food is more important part of life, and the emphasis on locally grown being the trends. I appreciate the support from everyone that has tried my produce. I look forward to seeing you out at the farm!
Much appreciated,
Mark Higginbotham
